Our annual lawn care programmes are tailored specifically to your lawn's requirements. We start off with a free lawn analysis to better understand your lawn's current condition, and will use that to personalise your care package. To give you an idea of what to expect, our basic maintenance services are outlined below.
Fertilisers
Lawns need nutrients to remain green and healthy, as well as recover from wear and tear. “Normal” fertilisers tend to produce excessive short term growth, leading to thatch and can damage the lawn in the longer term.
Our bespoke fertilisers have been extensively researched and developed to avoid these issues. As well as being environmentally friendly and containing a high organic content, we are also making use of revolutionary biostimulants which contain amino acids, sugars and trace elements which all work to improve the nutrient uptake.
All our fertilisers are specifically tailored to suit the conditions, and provide a sustainable, healthy and ecologically friendly environment for the grass to look its best all year round!
Moss Control
The British climate means that moss is extremely common in our lawns. It is most active during late autumn and winter and as the grass generally stops growing during this period it can become prominent. When the moss builds up it can begin to starve the grass of nutrition, so some control is often needed. We treat the moss with a liquid iron solution which causes the moss to burn out and it will quickly turn from green to black. As the grass fills in this blackening effect will diminish and your lawn can go back to looking its perfect self again!
Weed Control
There are dozens of common weeds which appear on our lawns. They tend to grow quickly and produce lots of seeds, and if left to their own devices can easily take over a lawn of any size. By using products only available to licenced professionals, we can take care of these weeds in the most efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Generally only one weed treatment is needed per year, although in particularly bad areas a second treatment may be needed; we will be sure to advise you on this. For some of our long standing customers, weed control is not needed every year as the opportunities for self-seeding have been eliminated.
